Kaera Ann Torrie

Kaera is short for Kaerlihed which is the danish noun for love. The pictures and video that follow document our love's entry into this world.

































This is video of her first breath and cry here on earth. Again for the 6th time, I refused to cut it's life line to mom. Gross!

Picture of our company's booth at the trade show in DC this week. The show went pretty good but sometimes it takes up to a year to land contracts from the show.

It was sure good to get back home though. I missed the family a lot all week. We're doing blessings for school tonight so I better go.

July 24th Week

Need to share our Macgyver moment. We arrived with our pictures about 5 minutes before the deadline because of some printing problems. We filled out the cards and then went to submit them but the lady stopped us short saying we had to have a method for hanging them on their hooks... She would not take them. 2 minutes until deadline. We ran back to Raeghn at the minivan and started ripping through the minivan. Raeghn keeps it clean so we didn't find much. The glove box had two key rings, two safety pins... We had 9 photos... So we stole her other key ring out of the ignition and we were up to five. Opening the trunk we found loaves of bread from her trip to Maceys. We grabbed four wire ties of the bread and ran back to the pavilion. As you can see from the photos, we used the key rings as they were sliding them over the tops of the matted photos. We used the safety pins to ram holes through the matts and then we peeled the plastic off the wire ties and treaded them through the holes and twisted them making a loop hard to see in the photos). And finally using the safety pins for the last two. Whew! Close call. As a side note, someone took the bread bag out of the back seat of the van and into the back. We stopped for a FHE picnic and Shad opened the hatch to see bread unload by the slice onto the hot ashphalt below. Some was salvaged...
