Christmas at the Torries

Here is Kveena and Kaera hanging out by the tree.
Dad and Kveena got a little carried away cooking treats for the neighbors. Sadly the only way to get our fudge hard was to freeze it. We used a variety of chocolate options to fill the quantity needed, none of which were what the recipe really called for. That's our story and we're sticking to it.


Despite my resistance card games were played and people seemed to enjoy it. Joseph F. Smith rolled in his grave (see his book for great card quotes!).

So here are some pictures from our christmas

Kveena did pretty good. I have told her how much she doesn't need makeup, but someone didn't help the cause by buying a bunch. She was pretty excited about here gift card to Walmart to go buy more makeup...

We had a Wii and game party with our neighbors the Yonks. A good time was had by most.

The kids got Pajamas and were pretty excited.

Wayne's theme seemed to be body building. Adam and Andrew scored a bunch of Legos and Playmobile. Mel looks tired and should considering he wrapped presents until about 4:30. Watching movies at the same time didn't speed it up much.

Kaere grew a bunch of hair.

Shad made us a great breakfast! Mel played with his camera and the Christmas tree.
Karea was ready for our little nativity. She was a great baby Jesus. The Nativity was in Wayne's bedroom since he decided he needed to get to bed early. He read the story, Mel took pictures, and the rest did a great job acting.

I helped out the Logan photo club with a photo gallery for Friday night. They had about 200 people come by and all felt it was a success. 12 Photographers got to show their stuff for the first time and they seemed to enjoy the experience.

In exchange for an extra long list of chores the boys and dad earned a snowboarding afternoon at Snowbasin ski resort. I (dad) can not sit down or get up. It was a good snow storm, but the three inches of soft snow on top of ice didn't cushing the fall sufficiently. I swapped Wayne's snow board which made it a lot easier to turn for me so I had fun but the day after pains have slowed me... Good time with the boys.
Here is a picture I took one morning this week on the way to a meeting. Got my dress shoes muddy when I fell through the ice. Click on the pic for bigger version.
